Simon is based in the epic, raw and beautiful countryside between Granada and Almeria in Spain. It is possible to breathe here, with vast mountains and tremendous lakes, and a rich untapped history ripe for exploring. Here he can let his imagination run on, with nothing to impede it.

 

Simon’s work is based both in historical tales and in Modern Day stories, that inspire him and his audiences alike. He has recently been focussed on works about Renaissance Spain and The Inquisition and its impact on the Spaniards and further afield.

 

Simon has been a writer since the 1980s and as well as his work for film and theatre, he has written one novel, two non-fiction books and three children's books.

 

Simon has also been successively, a theatre and opera designer, a milliner, a couturier, and a painter.
