1 Man - 100 Faces
A unique project in aid of legal support for LGBTQ refugees. One hundred artists gave portraits of Simon O'Corra, all of which appeared in a book and many of which were auctioned off once the project was complete.
ART

WHY
A hard hitting series pantings depicting the agony and terror felt by homosexuals during the Holocaust. The men are all naked, enforced nudity being a tactic the Nazis engaged in to dehumanise inmates in the camps and yet used in these images to claim back the pride of nakedness in gay men.

REALITIES OF WAR
This series of collage paintings explores themes of the actualities of war for the men at the Front and those on the Home Front. Painted human images, have original World War One Cartes Postales embedded within them, depicting soldiers in portrait studios or in more relaxed and informal settings at the Front. These are juxtaposed with original advertisements from the period which show just how much life was going on, with the Capitalist culture not skipping a beat during the four years of the war.

THEATRE OF WAR
This is a project of some 6 images, exploring the lives of prisoners of war in the World War One. These prisoners were drafted into Prison Camp Theatre Groups, to keep up morale, and many had to take on female roles.
